NEXOR’s Latest Guard

January 2015

Nexor has a long-established role in defending various departments of Her Majesty’s Government from cyber threats, specifically by deploying Guard technology.

So far Nexor has only been known to provide this defence in cyber space…

Gren. Guards Corps of Drums - Nexor’s Guard technology
This changed on Christmas Eve when a member of Nexor staff, who is also a reservist, had a direct role in the defence of the British Crown. (LCpl) Jack Barker took part in the ceremony to mount the Queen’s Guard at Buckingham Palace, marching with the Corps of Drums of the Grenadier Guards, Jack embarked on the daunting display on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace, as well as marching Guards to and from St. James’s Palace.

Whilst the Queen herself was at Sandringham House at the time, there were plenty of festive tourists eager to observe this ancient ceremony, and Her Majesty could rest assured that her principle residence was in safe hands.

The image above is taken from a previous display of the Grenadier Guards Corps of Drums at St James’s Palace in June, as can be seen on YouTube…

Next week, I explore the Nexor guard archives…
