Steve, our CEO, joined Nexor in 1992 and has been the prime mover in the company’s evolution from a respected research group to its current status as the UK’s market leader in secure information exchange.

Steve is highly active in the technology industry community. At techUK, the UK member association for technology companies, he is currently a member of the SME Council, and a member of the Defence & Security Board. He was presented with an Outstanding Achievement award in 2009 for his work as the founding Chair of the Security & Resilience Group.

He was a founder of the Security & Resilience Industry Council (RISC) and also the Cyber Growth Partnership. His expertise has also been recognised outside of the technology sector as a panel member of both the Defence Suppliers Forum SME (UK Ministry of Defence) and the SME Panel (UK Government Cabinet Office).

Steve was elected as a Chartered Director by the Institute of Directors (IoD) in 2000 and was a member of the IoD Professional Standards Group until 2016. He has also acted as a non-executive director for the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills at Investors in People (UK) Ltd.

In 2017, Andy Walker joined Nexor from L-3 TRL where he played a key part in the company’s growth over the previous 12 years.

During his time as Head of R&D, the company’s products received Queen’s Awards for both Innovation and Export. For the last 5 years, he was focused on the rapid growth of the Cyber Defence Division, initially as Business Operations Director and then as CNI Business Director leading the move into the Critical National Infrastructure market.

Prior to joining L-3 TRL, Andy worked for the US Telco AT&T Business, leading the international team that transitioned their largest clients’ networks to AT&T management. He moved to AT&T after 16 years’ commissioned service in a variety of management roles within the British Army.

Andy is a Chartered Engineer with a Masters in Military Electronic System Engineering.

Colin Robbins - Innovation DirectorCOLIN ROBBINS




Colin, our Innovation Director, joined Nexor in 1990. He is recognised as an innovator in the cyber security industry; has specific technical experience in Secure Information Exchange & Identity Systems and is credited as the co-inventor of LDAP. His current focus is solving customer security challenges in Cloud and IoT environments.

He joined the board in 2008 and is a Chartered Director as well as a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.

Colin is a Fellow of the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP) and branch lead for the IISP in the East Midlands, a Lead CESG Certified Professional and Chair of the East Midlands Cyber Security Forum.
