NEXOR INTEGRATES ITS GUARD WITH UK MOD TACTICAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

October 2014

Nexor has recently undertaken a project with EDGE UK®, to integrate Nexor Guardian, our cross-domain security guard, with the military-grade hardware produced by General Dynamics UK.

Commissioned Nexor guard with UK MoD - Nexor integrates its guard with UK MoD tactical communication systemsThe combination would enable the dismounted soldier to exchange position information with the next level of command operating at a higher security level.

This enables a number of tactical advantages since the commander is more informed of the current situation and would also have the ability to send messages to the dismounted soldier that augments the military voice system.

The project will integrate actual operational equipment with the small-form factor guard to evaluate a typical user scenario.

Nexor Guardian is part of our industry-leading SIXA® technology portfolio, which is based on a modular approach that aligns to architectural patterns from CESG, the UK National Technical Authority for Information Assurance.

The EDGE UK is a state-of-the-art facility located at General Dynamics UK’s site in South Wales, which provides partners with access to virtual and physical collaboration environments.

We will be demonstrating this technology integration at selected upcoming events. For further details on these or if you would like to find out more about this project and our secure information exchange capabilities then please contact Darren Evans, Territory Manager (Defence & Intelligence), on +44 (0)3302 231 214 or darren.evans@nexor.com.
