Nexor has joined leading UK organisations in signing the government’s Cyber Resilience Pledge, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening cyber security across the UK economy.

On Tuesday 7th July 2026, Nexor’s Chairman, Steve Kingan, joined around 60 representatives from across government and industry at No. 10 Downing Street for the formal launch of the Cyber Resilience Pledge.

The voluntary pledge brings together government and industry to encourage practical action that improves cyber resilience, protects organisations and strengthens supply chains. It asks signatories to take three key actions:

  1. Make cyber a Board responsibility using the Cyber Governance Code of Practice

  1. Sign up for the NCSC’s Early Warning service

  1. Take a risk-based approach to requiring Cyber Essentials across the supply chain

For Nexor, signing the pledge reflects a long-standing practice. As a UK cyber security organisation working across defence, government and law enforcement, Nexor has embedded cyber resilience into its governance, operations and supply chain approach for many years.

Nexor has also held and maintained Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus since their original implementations, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to the standards that help organisations protect themselves against common cyber threats.

Cyber resilience is not something that can sit in isolation as a technical issue. It needs to be understood, owned and acted on at Board level, across organisations and throughout the supply chain.

At Nexor, cyber security has always been central to how we operate and how we support our customers, particularly across defence and other sensitive environments where trusted information exchange is critical.

We are pleased to sign the Cyber Resilience Pledge and support the government’s call for wider collective action. The UK’s cyber resilience depends on organisations taking practical steps now, sharing responsibility and encouraging the same standards across the communities and supply chains they work with.

Steve Kingan, Chairman of Nexor

The Cyber Resilience Pledge provides a clear and practical framework for organisations to take action, strengthen governance and raise resilience across their wider supply chain.

As one of the first to sign the Cyber Resilience Pledge, Nexor is sending a clear message to their customers, investors and supply chains that cyber resilience is a core part of how they do business.

“The cyber threat facing the UK is serious, growing, and evolving fast because of AI. These first signatories are showing how the whole country needs to respond, by taking practical and achievable steps to bolster their cyber defences, and secure everyone's growth and prosperity.

Cyber Security Minister Liz Lloyd

By signing the Cyber Resilience Pledge, Nexor is supporting a wider movement to make cyber resilience a shared responsibility across government, industry and supply chains. With hostile cyber activity becoming more frequent, sophisticated and disruptive, organisations of all sizes have a role to play in improving the UK’s collective resilience.

Nexor will continue to share its experience and advice with the wider community, helping organisations understand how practical steps, good governance and supply chain assurance can strengthen cyber resilience.
