Location The role will be home based with regular travel to customer sites within the UK. Ideally southern UK based.

Role Purpose

Technical Pre-Sales Consultants bridge the gap between sales and technology/services by delivering tailored presentations and demonstrations, proof of concepts, and technical expertise to win deals. They identify customer needs, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and act as trusted advisors, ensuring proposed solutions meet business requirements while technically supporting the sales team.

As the technical representative you will be responsible for ensuring customers’ requirements are clearly identified and satisfied by the implementation of Nexor’s products and professional services and, in addition, provide market intelligence back to Nexor, e.g. competitive information, product deficiencies, technical opportunities, support services opportunities, etc.

They will be able to build and maintain enduring relationships with end-users, Government Contractor Primes, key market influencers and other key stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement and Discovery

Identifying and documenting customer pain points, technical environments, business and technical requirements.

Technical Demonstrations and Presentations

Delivering tailored demonstrations and presentations that showcase how the product solves specific client problems.

Be able to promote the Nexor Portfolio of Products and Services. Evangelise Nexor’s services, products, technologies and expertise, and develop networking relationships with customers and industry contacts.

Solution Design and Architecture

Designing technical solutions, including hardware/software sizing and architecture planning, tailored to the client's needs.

Proof of Concepts and Workshops

Organising and delivering technical workshops and POCs to prove the feasibility of the solution.

RFP/RFI Technical Responses

Contributing to and leading the technical content in Proposals, Requests for Information (RFI), and Requests for Proposal (RFP).

Sales Team Support

Acting as the technical partner to Account Executives, providing technical expertise during client meetings, and aiding in strategic sales planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Liaising with product management and engineering teams to provide feedback on product features and market needs.

Competitive Intelligence

Staying current on industry trends and competitor developments to effectively differentiate the company’s products.

Post-Sales Transition

Assisting in the handover process to implementation or customer success teams to ensure a smooth transition.


Skills and Experience

Technical Proficiency

Deep understanding of the product, software architecture and industry technology.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate good working knowledge in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of security principles, standards, processes and application of security enforcing measures.

  • Good understanding of Cyber Security and IT technologies.

  • Networking principles.

  • Cloud infrastructure (Public / Private Cloud).

  • Track record in designing high-level architectures using standardised approaches and tools, requirements management and Technical Specifications, and then translating these into detailed designs.

Communication

Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to build relationships with end-users, Government Contractor Primes, key market influencers and other key stakeholders.

Strong written and spoken communication and presentation skills.

Problem-Solving

Identifying and solving complex business challenges with technical solutions.


Constraints

  • May be required to work additional hours to meet deadlines.

  • May be required to travel to customer sites.
