Main Purpose of Job

To deliver security technology consulting services to customers, including requirements capture, solution architectures, technology integration, interoperability testing and programme technical lead

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Understand Nexor’s technical product portfolio and maintain a good working knowledge in order to assist with the design and development of technical solutions to business problems.

  • Undertake technical pre-sales engagements with appropriate customers.

  • Elicit customer requirements, define their business requirements, and deliver high quality input into bids and proposals.

  • Work with accreditors to understand their concerns and develop suitable architectures to address these.

  • Design and document solutions architectures using the SIXA® architecture, where applicable, to maximise the benefit to Nexor.

  • Be the business requirement stakeholder, clarifying these when required by engineering/product management.

  • Evangelise Nexor’s services, products, technologies, and expertise externally, and develop networking relationships with customers and industry contacts.

  • Contribute market intelligence to shape product features required to the maintain market worthiness of products including:

  • Capture and provide customer/business requirements and feedback on existing products.

  • Provide input to/influence new technical developments/approaches within our markets.

  • Provide a point of expertise on Nexor technologies and standards, both internally and with customers/prospects.

Other Duties

  • Provide into Nexor's processes as part of continual improvement.

  • Obtain and maintain appropriate professional qualifications.

  • Work with Product Leads to feedback on issues with current products and propositions, and to provide input around new products and services.

  • May be required to work unsociable hours in order to meet the demands of the role.  This may be at short notice in exceptional circumstance.

  • Prepared to travel as required.

Required Skills to be successful in this role

The candidate should be able to demonstrate strong ability and experience in the following areas:

  • Strong written and spoken communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong collaboration with other team members.

  • Ability to be innovative and conceptualise.

  • Highly analytical and capable of working at different levels of abstraction.

  • Track record in designing high level architectures using standardised approaches and tools, requirements management and Technical Specifications, and then translating these into detailed designs.

  • Either holding UK Security Clearance or willingness to undergo UK Security Clearances is key to this role.

Required Knowledge to be successful in this role

The candidate should be able to demonstrate good working knowledge in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of security standards, processes and application of security enforcing measures.

  • Networking principles (VLANS, Sub-netting, Fibre-Optic Networks).

  • Cloud infrastructure (Public / Private Cloud).

  • Agile methodologies.

Locations

  • The role will be home based with regular travel to customer sites within the UK.
