Information Assurance - An exploration of security issues and solutions
This paper describes the factors that contribute to information assurance: confidentiality, integrity, availability and accountability.
It outlines potential threats in each area. This is followed by a brief review of the technologies that enable solutions to these threats to be implemented, including encryption, access control, sound development practices and certification schemes. Potential solutions are then discussed, showing how threats can be mitigated through systems, methods and procedures that are designed with security in mind.
The final section of this paper introduces Nexor products and services that can play a part in creating environments with a high degree of information assurance.
The attached paper (122.2 kb) explores the issues.
