Nexor was the first UK company to be awarded TickITplus certification, the replacement scheme for the ageing TickIT scheme (see the case study for full details. TickITplus was designed to expand beyond the original focus on software development to cater for the more diverse needs of the IT industry today by providing a more comprehensive measure of capability. We participated in the Joint TickIT Industry Steering Committee (JTISC), which brought together a broad range of stakeholders to develop the new approach. The combination of small and large organisations ensured that the scheme is a very pragmatic implementation of the principles of capability maturity.
