Border Solutions: Nexor's Border Solution Suite as demonstrated at CWID 2006
The increased demand for interoperability between national and international military forces means that disparate systems must be able to connect together and to share information securely.
At the strategic level of command, improved networks and greater interoperability will enable better cross-government planning and more effective management and direction of campaigns. At the tactical level, interoperability leads to force-wide sharing and understanding, coupled with improved collaborative working.
Border management and control are key components in achieving interoperability. Both guard and gateway border capability is required; guards provide the ability to control entry and exit of information in an unmodified form in accordance with defined security policies; gateways allow the passage of information with relevant modifications to ensure acceptability by the receiving domain.
With fifteen years’ experience in developing and installing secure communication systems, Nexor is able to offer unrivalled capability to systems integrators and end customers alike. Nexor’s solutions facilitate high levels of message security, information integrity and adherence to organisational policies.
A key part of Nexor’s solution portfolio is a suite of border components that deliver both guard and gateway capability, including a fully compliant ACP145 gateway-to-gateway solution. Nexor’s architecture is designed to be platform agnostic, as well as message transfer agent and enterprise directory agnostic. Further flexibility is provided through support for a range of security protocols, content types and transport protocols. Nexor’s border suite only requires a single server, but it can be implemented across a range of servers if desired. Deployment is managed through Nexor Management Console, an intuitive interface.
