Nexor Accepted on UK Government G-Cloud Framework

Nexor, the company that connects, transforms and protects sensitive information in cyberspace, has been accepted onto the UK Government G-Cloud Services Framework to provide a range of Cloud-related security services.

The G-Cloud Framework is a multi-supplier vehicle for the purchase of Cloud-based IT Services (“G-Cloud Services”) by public bodies in Central Government and across the wider public sector.  Qualifying suppliers will display their service offerings in a purpose-built Catalogue hosted on the Government eMarketplace (“GeM”).

Nexor will enable government departments to adopt Cloud services through the provision of CyberShield Secure™ services, which address the information assurance needs of government customers by helping to define what can be shared and how it can be shared.

Steve Kingan, Nexor Chief Executive Officer comments: “Nexor has had significant feedback from government departments worried about adopting the Cloud model due to concerns that accidental or deliberate data leakage will have serious repercussions.  The Cloud providers themselves are keen to remove this barrier to entry.  With sensible assessment and planning, supported by policies, education and technology, it is possible to determine and implement an appropriate approach to handling sensitive information.  This is the focus of Nexor’s business, and the expertise and experience we bring to the G-Cloud community.”

For departments concerned about Cloud adoption due to the presence of this sensitive information in their overall data mix, Nexor’s “Information Exchange Requirements Study” is designed to determine appropriate management and control of that data.  The “Labelling Policy Definition Service” then assists organisations to create security labelling policies to support the implementation of data handling initiatives on IT systems, wherever those systems may be located.

To make optimal use of Cloud services, government departments will need to ensure that Cloud applications are designed with information assurance as a key consideration.  This is where Nexor’s CyberShield Secure™ software engineering capability comes in to create appropriate interfaces or interoperability enhancements.

“CyberShield Secure™ encompasses a highly mature methodology, developed over 20 years, for designing and implementing secure technology solutions.  We are pleased to be able to assist our customers to realise the benefits of moving to the Cloud by providing the confidence and reassurance that their data will remain secure,” concludes Steve Kingan.
