Messaging and Directories
Nexor’s links to secure messaging and directories date back to the early 1990s, resulting in Nexor becoming one of the best known niche players in this arena with our technology underpinning secure government communications systems around the globe. We have been involved in defining and implementing the standards that support these environments, including the military standards that are the benchmark for any organisation aspiring to enforce security policies and implement the highest levels of security around its messaging systems.
Nexor messaging technology complements any existing infrastructure by adding core aspects of functionality:
- Submission, delivery and distribution of secure messages
- Ensuring security and classification labelling of content
- Authorisation, authentication and verification
- Guaranteed delivery and action of critical traffic
- Tracking, tracing and audit
- Integration APIs
- Border management
This last element is particularly essential in a world where cross domain communication requirements have increased. Nexor's secure border guard and gateway capability ensures that only the information intended for sharing is permitted to cross domain boundaries. This can be across both internal domain separations and externally between, for instance, government agencies and industrial partners that form part of critical national infrastructures.
Nexor solutions are highly configurable to provide flexibility. A comprehensive set of APIs is available to allow Nexor to assist with customisation and third party integrators to develop secure solutions to meet local and national requirements.
Nexor’s Military Message Handling Systems (MMHS) provides an end-to-end capability to fully support the specific military functionality as defined by NATO and the CCEB, as well as providing support for both the early (ACP127/8) telex-based military messaging systems and the later (X.400 ACP123/Stanag 4406) standards and elements of service.
