Information Exchange Requirements Study

At the strategic level of command, greater interoperability enables better military and government planning and more effective management and direction of campaigns. At a tactical level, interoperability leads to force-wide sharing and understanding, coupled with improved collaborative working. However, the different formats, protocols, standards and procedures present within diverse systems hinder this goal.

The concept of an Information Exchange Gateway (IEG) is designed to facilitate communication between different security and management domains. However, before an IEG solution can be selected and implemented, a series of steps needs to be followed to ensure the right choices are made. Nexor has developed a service specifically to analyse information exchange requirements to inform these choices.
